Coverage Details

Complete Car Warranty offers a total of 14 coverage options through its administrators, Matrix, CarGuard, and Royal. To give a better overview, we have split the features from all 14 plans into three coverage packages: Basic, Enhanced, and Premium.

Basic coverage features (included in all plans):

• 24/7 roadside assistance
• Towing services
• Travel disruption insurance
• Rental car coverage

Enhanced coverage features (only included in some plans):

• Cooling systems (CarGuard and Royal)
• Transfer cases (CarGuard and Royal)
• Hybrid components (Matrix)
• Turbo/superchargers (CarGuard)
• Superchargers (Royal)

Premium coverage features (only included in a few plans):

• Seals and gaskets (Matrix, CarGuard, and Royal)
• Air conditioning components (CarGuard and Royal)
• Electrical components (CarGuard and Royal)
• Steering (CarGuard and Royal)
• Suspension (CarGuard and Royal)
• Brakes (Matrix)
• Differential assemblies (Matrix)
• Wear and tear (Matrix)

Aside from Matrix’s Exclusionary plan that covers wear and tear, coverage plans generally exclude cosmetic repairs, routine maintenance, and damage from misuse or neglect. It is also important to note that each plan may have specific coverage exclusions and limitations, depending on the plan and warranty administrator.

Additional Benefits

All plans offered through Complete Car Warranty allow you to choose any of your preferred mechanic or repair facilities as long as they are ASE-certified. This flexibility ensures that you can get your vehicle serviced by a trusted professional of your choice without being limited to specific locations or providers.

Another advantage of selecting a car warranty through Complete Car Warranty is that every plan from the CarGuard administrator includes car rental coverage. This ensures you won’t be left without a vehicle while your car undergoes extensive repairs, minimizing disruptions to your daily routine.

While car rental coverage is not included in plans from Matrix or Royal, you can take advantage of the included travel disruption insurance instead, which is included in all 14 plans from Complete Car Warranty – including CarGuard, if you are after the whole package. This coverage helps lessen the inconvenience of breakdowns if your vehicle fails far from home.

Repair Process & Options

If you get a car warranty from Complete Car Warranty, there are no strict limitations on what repair shop or mechanic you take your vehicle to, giving you a lot of flexibility in choosing a mechanic. You can generally get car repairs performed at any ASE-certified repair shop or dealership.

The use of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts versus aftermarket parts will depend on your specific plan and the repair shop you select. Some plans may require OEM parts, while others may permit aftermarket parts.

Claim Process

Making a warranty claim with Complete Car Warranty is simple and convenient. You can initiate your claim either online or by phone. The approval process typically takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on which administrator the insurance plan is with.

The claim payout might either be released to the repair shop, or the customer may have to pay the cost of the repair upfront and seek reimbursement from the insurer once the repair is complete.

Transferability & Cancelation

When obtaining warranty coverage from Complete Car Warranty, most plans are offered with a trial period. That means, should you change your mind about the provider you’ve chosen within a set period, you can cancel your plan without a penalty, provided that you haven’t made any warranty claims.

Should you choose to sell your vehicle, then most plans are transferable. Be aware that different terms and conditions may apply depending on the administrator, so make sure to read the fine print.
